Graduation

omygosh!, i am graduating in 10 school days!
i am so excited, in ten days i will officially be a freshman! woop woop :)
and then immadiatly after is summer.
I can't wait for summer, it's going to be so much fun.
sitting by the pool hanging with friends and of course SOFTBALL!

Summer and softball

This summer my dad and I are completely focusing on softball with work-outs almost everyday and weight training too, on one hand im psyched for summer but on the other i know it's going to be a lot of hard work. I hope at the end i will be a better softball player.

This week in softball:

This week we are going to Metro's which if we win or get second place we win a birth to nationals. The catch is it's only a two game guarntee and you could easily go home on Satuarday, 8 of the 14 teams go home the first day. I hope we can make it to sunday. The first game is crucial because if you loose you go to the loosers bracket and you have to fight your way back up and you have to win every game beacause you already have a loss. This year we are trying as hard as possible to get a birth to nationals because this year it's in Mt.Vernon so we can easily attend if we can get a birth. Nationals is where the best select teams go, they come from all over the country and this year it's in our state. Last year it was in Oklahoma and we even got a birth but we decided not to go because it would have been a lot of money and time spent and most teams go and only play two games, so there was no point.

It's crazy people make reservations for this tournemeant a year in advance.
The Sterling is huge, and the fields are super nice.
also it's going to be hott, so even better.

Did you stand up straight but stay relaxed?
Yes i stood up straight, but i wasn't really relaxed. Nest time i need to relax a lot more.

Did you pause for a moment before you began your speech?
yes, i took about a five second pause. Next time i would probably take a longer pause to get ready.

Did you look at your audience?
I looked at my audience but not all the time. Next time i should look at my audience the whole time.

Did you let your facial expressions naturally reflect what you were saying?
Not really, i was really nervous so that's what my face looked like. Next time i should probably relax before i do my speech.

Did you use your hands?
Yes i used my hands. I pointed out things on the screen.

Did you speak loudly enough so that everyone could hear you?
Yes, i believe i spoke loud enough. Next time i would probably be a little louder and more in control.

Did you change your tone to show how you felt (upset, excited) about an idea or to emphasize a point?
I didn't really. Next time i need to be less nervous so i can focus more on voice refection.

Was your speed of delivery too fast, too slow or just right?
My delivery was too fast because i just wanted it to be over. Next time i need to speak slower and more comprehensible.

Did you practice your speech at home before giving it?
The night before giving it i had softball on the other side.
But about three days before it i had practiced.
What did you notice that you did well in your speech?
On my speech i think my voice was pretty good. i thought everyone could hear me, and i was loud enough.
Describe one aspect of public speaking you will work to improve?
Next time i need to relax and not freak out. Also i need to use my stand a little straighter and not smile so much.

What attracted you to this project?
Well My first and second period showed us this show and i found it exciting.


What hobbies and interests do you have?
My biggest hobby in the world is sports, But my main interest in life is Softball. Also i like music, rap and hip/hop is my favorite. Books fill my pastime i like most all interesting stories my favorite book in the world is Twilight.

What image do you have of pioneer living?
I have the image of old times and and bascially living on nothing. I also think that pioneer living is dirty and would not be fun.

What's the most challenging thing you and your family (or group) have experienced?\
The most challenging thing probably that my family has gone through to make us stronger is when we moved to Washington. California was so much different and my family and I had to stick together a lot better to make it.

If you were chosen what do you think you would most miss about modern life?
If i was chosen for this project I think the thing i would miss the most about modern life is the luxury, the luxury of being able to do pretty much anything i wanted at any time. I think i would also miss Softball and my Friends. Living pretty much all alone with just my family would make me happier but also sad because my friends are a big part of my life and i would miss them WAY too much, also i would get held back on softball, and that is my main passion. Oh yeah, and i'd miss texting!!



What qualities do you and your family have that make you suited to this experience?
One thing that would come in handy in my family is that my mother is a modern day doctor, so if anything went wrong she could help us out. Also my father and brother are very strong. And i could bring softball to the Frontier.

What skills do you have that may help you?
I have the skill of being a physical person. I can go through a lot of physical pain and still come out on top.

What would you hope to get out of the experience?
Out of this experience i would hope that my family would be a lot stronger and that we could go together in times of need.

What do you think will be the most difficult challenge of pioneer life?
The most challenging thing about pioneer life would be not having my phone, ipod, computer and pretty much i would just be cut off from the rest of the world. I think
I would also be scared that the world would pass me by and forget about me when i came back.

What skills would you like to learn from the experience?
I hope to learn how to shoot a gun, split wood, and how to build a cabin.

What interests you about this project?
Well My teacher showed me this show and i really actually have no interest in this project, i think i would hate pioneer life and it would be dirty and not fun.

Do you have any concerns about your participation?
My main concern is that my life would be over when i came back and i would have to start over because my friends would just forget about me.

How much do you know about your family history -- do you have pioneer roots?
I Don't think i have pioneer roots, but i might because my mom used to be friends with a lot of indian/americans.

How did you hear about Frontier House?
My 8th grade social studies teacher showed us this show.

Kings:)

Vs.

As almost all of you know i play Basketball for Langley Middle School, im on Jv and Varsity. And Oh Jeez..well today we are playing Kings. I'm not going to lie i'm a little bit scared. Right now the only team we have lost to is them. We are in second place. I think we could easily beat any team in our league and we have but them. We Beat Coupville, Granite Falls, Sultan, Lakewood, And lost closely to Kings. In the first half of the Kings game we were only losing by a couple, but they came back out and just shut us out in about the first minute. I think Going into this game we have a much better stratogy and have a better game mentality. I'm hoping that we can go out there and play hard and maybe come out with a win. The one thing i really hate about the Kings Knights is that they can recrute that's really annoying. The one thing that we have that hey don't is spirit and the the will to win. We actually care and when were losing we never give up, i think if were up by a lot kings will Crumble. the Kings girls are used to getting everything they wan't but if they don't they won't fight for it, We will.

Angie, Softball, And basketball

Angie:
Well we offically have a new girl on our team her name is angie. She is really good, and has a really good arm. She fits right in with our crazy team, and is really nice. She reminds me a lot of an ex-blaze player named Sammy, they even have the same bat, so do I. Anywa she looks like she can really help our team, and im really excited to be on a team with her.



Softball:
Today i'm very excited because, I have softball, and after this practice the off season will be offically OVER!...Wooo. I'm so excited we have our first tournmeant on satuarday. I can't Wait!

Basketball:
Currently we have had three game, Against kings, lakewood, and sultan. We are 2-1.In our first game We beat Sultan by 20, then lost by a lot to kings, then beat Lakewood by about 30. We are a pretty good team and I think we are going to do great, i can't wait to play more.

My life ...Lately!

Wow, this is the first post in awhile. So here's whats happening in my life Lately starting with the most recent: Right now in Mr. Berquists class we are making a game. We are using a software coding thing called inform. Sometimes it's really annoying because if you do any little thing wrong then it pops up a little error thing!..it soo annoying. My game is called softball adventures it's all about Jennie Finch trying to find all th items she needs to go play a softball game. ha ha it figures that i would do a softball game huh?. Also Christmas was just like two weeks ago it was so AWESOME!...i got lots of really nice stuff but my four favorite things were: My new bat!....it's a purple and white stealth and i have wanted it ever since it came out..i LOVE it!.. Her name is Sam if you were wondering. Another thing was my new glove its a nikkona I named her Nikita..nick or Nikki for short. Another thing was a diamond/gold heart and cross necklace from my grandpa k..and its really special to me..And i also got a new phone because as lots of you know i dropped my other one on its head.oops:P. I love my family..thank you!. Another great thing that happened was my uncle and Grandpa came up to Washington from California. And a really cool thing that happened was all the snow!..jeez we got like a foot! and we had a white Christmas, it was really nice. Also i went to a new years eve party at my friend Janessa's (softball team) house. It was pretty fun i went with my other friend Jes and it was awesome we stayed up till like 5am..it was cool. The last thing that is going on in my life right now is sports: yesterday we had a soccer game and we lost by two..but i scored so i was really pretty happy with myself. And tomorrows we have a game in Lakewood so that should be pretty cool...so yay!. And Sunday i have my first softball practice in a month..My coach is going to kill us!...oh well that comes with the territory i guess. also a really great thing that I just found out was that a new player is joining the Blaze. Her name is Angie and she played on the Edmond Starz last year. The Edmond Starz were a good 12a team last year. Angie is a pitcher and has a really great arm, I like her and think she will make a great addition to our team.

anyway that's what has been going on lately!.
